Communism Motivational 2 by PunkNarumi Communism Motivational 2 by PunkNarumi
Last time I did this, it was removed for art theft. Now, I drew the images myself. HA.

I don't care about your opinion on Communism, by the way.

I direct you here before you argue with me: [link]

Actually, I have a feeling China might not completely agree with communist ideals. Remember, they represent the people and culture, not the government. It has been suggested that they might not always agree with their bosses. Also, one of the things the communists did in China was burn the history and culture of China. I forget what it was called but I have a feeling China would not like to have so much of his history destroyed.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), commonly known as North Korea, is a country in East Asia, occupying the northern half of the Korean Peninsula. Its capital and largest city is Pyongyang. The Korean Demilitarized Zone serves as the buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea. The Amnok, or Yalu, and the Tumen rivers form the border between North Korea and China. A section of the Tumen River in the far northeast is the border with Russia.

The peninsula was governed by the Korean Empire until it was annexed by Japan following the Russo-Japanese War of 1905. It was divided into Soviet and American occupied zones in 1945, following the end of World War II. North Korea refused to participate in a United Nations–supervised election held in the south in 1948, which led to the creation of separate Korean governments for the two occupation zones. Both North and South Korea claimed sovereignty over the Korean Peninsula as a whole, which led to the Korean War of 1950. The Armistice Agreement of 1953 ended the fighting; however, the two countries are officially still at war against each other, as a peace treaty was never signed. Both states were accepted into the United Nations in 1991.

North Korea is a single-party state under a united front led by the Korean Workers' Party (KWP). The country's government follows the Juche ideology of self-reliance, developed by the country's President, Kim Il-sung. After his death, Kim Il-sung was declared the country's Eternal President. Juche became the official state ideology when the country adopted a new constitution in 1972, though Kim Il-sung had been using it to form policy since at least as early as 1955. After the collapse of the Soviet Union and a series of natural disasters, a famine occurred, causing the death of 900,000 to 2 million people. Facing these circumstances, leader Kim Jong-Il adopted Songun, or a "military-first" policy in order to strengthen the country and its government.

Many outside organizations describe North Korea as a totalitarian Stalinist dictatorship with an elaborate cult of personality around the Kim family and one of the lowest-ranking human rights records of any country. The North Korean government denies this association. North Korea is the world's most militarized nation, with a total of 9,495,000 active, reserve, and paramilitary personnel. It is a nuclear weapons state, and has an active space program.

true, but the original ideas weren't so... harsh, and most (if not all) of the men you describe are under Stalinist ideas, which I do not consider communism.

1-Beg pardon. When someone says "you" in the English language, it does not necessarily apply to your persons in specific, but may serve to imply a common question. I do not know you, and as such, it would be ridiculous to know what you were thinking at any given moment (as well as horribly creepy). By using "you", however, I pose a common question, that others may have wondered at some point or another in their lives.

2-Sorry. I'm just somewhat disturbed that someone is calling North Korea "cute". I mean, I don't know...I have a general problem with people calling oppressive dictatorships adorable.

Honestly, if anything, these are jokes. I don't agree with anything that North Korea does at all. Beyond that, it's more calling the character cute--not the totalitarian regime. If there were not a label applied or a flag behind it, no one would even know that's North Korea. It would just be another chibi character drawn by another faceless artist on dA.

I respect your views completely, but there is no reason that, if you dislike my ideas, views, art, or humour, you should waste your time on it. I can't tell you how to spend your time, but this honestly isn't where to go to have an intense discussion about linguistic properties of English or politics (though I realise you weren't going for that--stopping while we're ahead). This is NOT a political statement. This does NOT represent my views of the world. This is, like so many other things taken so seriously, just another expression of my interests and my slightly twisted sense of humour. Completely tasteful? No. Politically Correct? No. Better than some things you might find? Certainly.

I am sorry if this offended you in any way. It was not meant to be offensive to anyone.

But the fact of the matter stands that there is a flag of North Korea behind him, and as such, this does represent North Korea. So it is not just another chibi.

XD I'm no English major, so yea, let's not get into an argument about the English language. Loathe as I do to admit it, I'd honestly probably lose that one. If I don't see something I like, however, I will say something about it. I'm on break now, I've got some time to kill.

I'm not offended; I just don't think this is particularily tasteful. I know you didn't mean any offence by this (you don't seem nice enough), and I'm sure you don't advocate anything the North Korean government has done or anything they stand for...I suppose what I want to say is perhaps you should be a bit more careful with what you post. Hetalia's fun and all, but sometimes people overstep the boudaries. This by far isn't the worst I've seen in this fandom but it's pushing it. North Korea isn't cute, communism isn't cute (c'mon. It's an economic system. How is that cute?), etc. I'm not a huge fan of PC myself, but there are some topics, such as North Korea that even I don't want to call "cute".
